My name is Mike Barnes and I'm the webmaster at alt-usage-english.org. Your comments and questions about this site are very welcome. There are two places you can send them, depending on the nature of the message.
If your have a comment or question about the contentof a page, or some other question about English usage, you should post your message to the newsgroup. The regular contributors to the newsgroup have, between them, a wealth of knowledge about the subject matter of this site, and are well placed to answer any question you might have.
If you propose a significant change or addition to the content of the site (except "UCLE Corner": see note below), again you should post your message to the newsgroup. Most pages on this site were reviewed by the group before being posted here, and most changes or additions should be submitted for similar review. Your proposal will stand the best chance of success if you take the trouble to write out the new or changed content in the form that you would like it to appear on this site. If your material is complex or lengthy, it might be better to upload a draft to somewhere on the web, and quote the URL instead of the full text in your posting to the newsgroup. If you would like to do this but haven't access to a suitable site, I'd be happy to upload your draft to this site on your behalf. E-mail me for guidance if required. See also page Guidelines for Potential Contributors.
If your message concerns links - new links, changed links, obsolete links, etc - send it to me.
If your message concerns the presentation of the material on this site - browser problems, obvious typos, that sort of thing - send it to me, and be sure to include details of the browser you're using if that might be relevant.
If your message falls into none of those categories, or you are in any doubt about where to send it, send it to me in the first instance.
When referring to any page on the site, please be sure to include in your message the URL (address) of the page concerned. For instance, this page is http://alt-usage-english.org/feedback.html.
Note: If the address of a page begins with http://alt-usage-english.org/ucle/, the page is part of "UCLE Corner". The content of those pages is no longer updated, so there's no point in suggesting changes or additions to them.
